Maraque Apps ("we," "our," or "us") operates Keepy: Money & Budget Tracker (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using Keepy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we receive:

  • Your name and email address
  • A unique authentication identifier
  • Profile photo URL (if provided by the sign-in provider)

Financial Data You Provide

To provide our services, we store the financial data you enter, including:

  • Transactions (amounts, dates, descriptions, categories)
  • Accounts and account balances
  • Budgets and budget categories
  • Currency preferences

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

  • Device information (model, operating system, version)
  • App usage analytics (screens viewed, features used, session duration)
  • Crash reports and performance data
  • IP address and general location (country/region level)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
  • Sync your financial data across your devices

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not display advertisements in the App.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

Firebase (Google)

  • Firebase Authentication: Manages user sign-in via Google and Apple. Stores authentication tokens and user identifiers.
  • Cloud Firestore: Stores your financial data (transactions, accounts, budgets) in a secure cloud database.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash reports and diagnostic data to help us fix bugs.
  • Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how the App is used.

Amplitude

We use Amplitude for product analytics to understand user behavior and improve the App. Amplitude collects anonymized event data about how you interact with the App.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase data from the App Store and Google Play to manage your subscription status.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Your data is transmitted using TLS encryption and stored in secure Firebase infrastructure with access controls. Authentication is handled through industry-standard OAuth 2.0 protocols via Google and Apple.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

6. Your Rights

For All Users

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your financial data

For EU/EEA Residents (GDPR)

In addition to the above, you have the right to:

  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Our legal basis for processing your data is: (a) performance of the contract to provide you with the App's services, (b) your consent for analytics, and (c) our legitimate interests in improving the App.

For California Residents (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information is being collected about you
  • Know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)
  • Access your personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

7. Children's Privacy

Keepy is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or by email. The "Effective Date" at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
